When you receive your mobile SIM card simply insert it into your existing phone and start calling your friends. If your mobile phone screen displays 'blocked', 'barred' or 'SP lock' this means your phone is locked. Don't worry, all you have to do is call your old network to unlock it. (They may charge you to do this.)
If you go over your minutes or text monthly allowance then the standard call charges will apply.
